Sock It To Cancer
05/05/2013
After days and days of rain, prayers were answered and the rain ended for my Eagle project. Highlights of the day:
* Handing over all of the sock and snack donations that I've been collecting for weeks, and knowing that they will be put to good use.
* Seeing some pretty cute kids make sock puppets at our craft station.
* Directing the puppet show ... it was fun seeing it all come together.
* Ending the day by doing the Harlem Shake with some of the Falcons!!
It's been an amazing experience! Thanks to everyone for your support! The process isn't over yet... still need to do the write up. But the project is done and that's a pretty great feeling!
Over 100 care packages assembled, more than 260 pairs of socks collected! Thank you to everyone who donated items or your time to help with this project! The puppet theater now has a fresh coat of blue paint. Workday #2 is in the books!
