Mike’s birthday surprise! After lunch at Breadco, I blindfolded him for a crazy car ride- lots of turns to confuse him. I took him to the Kirkwood train station but he had no idea. Some strangers kept an eye on the poor blindfolded guy while I drove 2 blocks and parked. One guy played along as a doctor who had him sign forms he couldn’t see. He thought I was going to give him a tattoo! He finally said he smelled old wood. As the train came with its loud whistle I let him pull off his blindfold. He got in the train not knowing where we were going. What a good sport! I had brought his clothes and mine without him seeing and Tony was watching his dogs. His surprise was going to Hermann for Octoberfest!! I found an adorable B&B online and we had the best time for 2 days!!
