We’re proud to highlight our involvement in Work District 3.0 – The Legacy Center in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Built through a valued repeat partnership with Mr. Pave and Tim Dantas 🤝, this 30,000 SF industrial office and warehouse facility represents more than just a building—it’s an investment in people and the future of the Lynchburg community.

The Legacy Center is being developed as a workplace readiness and workforce-entry hub designed to create opportunities for training, career development, entrepreneurship, and long-term success. Its mission is to help bridge the gap between education and meaningful employment by equipping individuals with the skills, resources, and support needed to build sustainable careers and strengthen their communities.

Working alongside the project team, SteelCo Buildings supplied the pre-engineered metal building solution, delivering the durability, efficiency, and flexibility needed to support this impactful vision for years to come.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to continue supporting the Mr. Pave team and proud to contribute to a project that will help open doors, remove barriers, and create lasting opportunities for generations to come.

🏟 New on the Blog: Indoor Sports Facilities — Structural Requirements & Span Considerations
Indoor sports facilities demand more than square footage alone — they require the right structural system to support clear spans, safe play, ceiling height, equipment loads, and long-term performance. Our latest article breaks down the key planning and design considerations behind successful indoor athletic facilities.

🔹 Why Clear Span Matters — Wide-open interiors without interior columns are critical for courts, fields, rinks, and sight lines
🔹 Span Needs by Sport — Different requirements for basketball, volleyball, soccer, hockey, indoor track, and multi-sport complexes
🔹 Structural System Options — Rigid frames, multi-span frames, and truss systems
🔹 Cost Drivers — Span width, eave height, roof loads, foundation demands, and specialty finishes all impact budget

Whether you’re planning a gym, turf field, rink, or multi-use sports complex, this guide offers a practical look at how structure and span decisions shape performance and cost from the start.
