Coast Range Association (CRA) - Chuck Willer, Director of the CRA, will update Thyme Garden Earthday visitors on the current forest management plans for our public forests and help us focus our energy to take action to protect this valuable resource. The CRA was the first organization in the U.S. to publish a bioregional conservation plan (1994). They have led on documenting forest ownership and the socioeconomic analysis of the timber industry.

Did you know that local federal forests are the No. 1 carbon storage forests in the whole country? The CRA has been in the forefront of public interest advocacy for our world-class forests. Currently, all three major public forestland owners, the BLM, the Forest Service and the State of Oregon, are working on new management plans.
