We’re thrilled to share that Ziggy has been adopted!
Some dogs need a little extra time, training, patience, and understanding to find their “just right” person, and Ziggy was one of those dogs.
After five months in rescue, we’re delighted to report that Ziggy has found exactly that—and he is now truly living his best life with daily hikes on quiet trails, swims in his very own pool, and plenty of peaceful naps afterward.

🐾 IT ONLY TAKES ONE APPLICATION! 🐾
In rescue, we always say it only takes one perfect match. Sometimes that application comes right away, and sometimes the journey takes a little longer. For Beast and Blondie, it was definitely a journey—but oh, was it worth it!
When this duo first entered our Foster With Intent to Adopt (FWITA) program, we quickly learned that Blondie wasn't comfortable around other dogs. They had to move into boarding while we figured out their next steps. Then came another setback: during a visit, they managed to escape their play area and went after a smaller dog. It was a stressful moment, but it reinforced exactly what they needed: a very specific home with careful management.
To set them up for ultimate success, we transferred them to Dog Den, stopping by a trusted trainer along the way. The verdict? While they loved each other's company, they weren't truly bonded and could be adopted separately.
But the universe had other plans.
Just two days before their move, an incredible application landed in our inbox from a family who had recently lost their beloved pup. They were open to a bonded pair, so we laid all our cards on the table. We shared Beast and Blondie’s entire story—the successes, the challenges, the training needs, and the reality that they couldn't be walked by one person alone yet.
None of it discouraged them. 🙌
When we met the family at Dog Den, it was love at first sight. They chose to keep Beast and Blondie together, giving them the ultimate fresh start.
Today, Beast (our 120-pound gentle goofball) and Blondie (the queen of cuddles) are absolutely thriving in their new home with older teenage siblings and no other pets.
Their journey wasn’t easy, but it reminds us why we never give up. The right family doesn’t expect perfection—they understand the dogs they’re welcoming into their lives and are committed to giving them the future they deserve.
