Conway Noon Rotary Club

Today, the club heard from Leona Walton and Gena Ester, co-founders of the Pine Street Backpack Program for telling us about how their program serves families in our area and how we can all help.

We learned their biggest need is zippered 3-ring binders, which is on the school supply list for all local middle school children. These zippered binders are much more expensive than a pack of crayons or spiral notebook, but are just as essential. If you can help, please consider purchasing one or more zippered binders. You may give it directly to the Pine Street Backpack Program or bring it to a Conway Noon Rotary Club meeting in July and we will give these zippered binders to the program.

Today was the Club’s annual banquet and the passing of the gavel from 2025-26 President Michelle Phillips to 2026-27 President Melissa Dyson.
Additionally, the club renamed the Community Service Award in honor of longtime member Adair Howell and presented her with the 2025-26 award.
Tom Nelson was honored as Rotarian of the Year.
And Jennifer Boyett received the club’s Bravo Zulu award.
