I want to sincerely thank every person who supported this campaign. Your encouragement, your time, your conversations, and your willingness to stand up for what you believe in has meant more than I can say.

Campaigns are never about one person. They are about people who care enough to show up, to knock on doors, to make phone calls, and to speak up for their neighbors. I am grateful for every one of you.

I also want to congratulate Steve Toth on his victory. Running for office takes real commitment and sacrifice, and I wish him well as he takes on the responsibility that the voters have placed in his hands. I will support him in anyway I can to make our district better.

The people of this district deserve representation that reflects their lives, their values, and their everyday concerns.

Elected officials work for the citizens of this district, not special interests or large donors, and the people here know that.

This campaign showed me something I will not forget: the people in this community are engaged, passionate, and paying attention to what happens around them. They will expect action and accountability, and that is a good thing.

That does not go away after an election. It carries forward into conversations, into civic life, and into the work of making sure our leaders follow through on what they promised.

Thank you to everyone who believed in this effort and gave their time to it. The relationships we built along the way matter. And the work of taking care of this community does not stop here.

It is only just beginning.
