Seems funny looking back (thanks to archive.org) that the first web server I ever started using back in 1997, was a (single) Pentium II, 350Mhz, 128meg ram, 7.4Gb. My how times have changed!

Getting a newly designed web site? Make sure you inquire about its uniqueness. Are you getting a template they sell to 20 other companies, or was it built specifically for your company? This should be one of the big factors in the price are paying.

My first post for the company, inspired by over 30 minutes of being on the phone with Register.com and Earthlink: When you obtain a domain name, always make sure it is actually registered to your name, address, phone and e-mail, and not to the person setting up and/or hosting your site. If 10 years later that person is no longer findable, it is a major pain to get control of it back!
