Glaucoma, a group of eye conditions that damage the optic nerve, is a leading cause of blindness for people over 60 years old. Glaucoma runs in families. You can have it and not know it. If you have family history, you are at higher risk for the disease. Get a comprehensive dilated eye exam.

Who is at Risk for Glaucoma?
• Age 60 or older
• African-American or Hispanic-American
• History of eye problems
• Family history of glaucoma
• High blood pressure
• Heart disease
• Regular use of corticosteroids
