This discovery allows researchers to watch these personality changes happen in real time and stop problems before users ever see them. They can even train AI systems to resist developing bad habits by exposing them to small amounts of problematic behavior during training, similar to how vaccines work. Instead of wondering why your AI assistant suddenly started acting weird, we now have tools to keep it behaving consistently and reliably.
