I used to have posters of “The Mississippi Monster” on the walls when younger.
Joe was the type of lifter where I’d think”I want to look like that guy”. Joe didn’t just look the part , he was also freakishly strong.

I was lucky enough to get to meet and become good friends with Joe over the past 17 or so years. We both have battled kidney disease and shared a connection not just through weights, but also through our kidney struggles.

This is all heartbreaking. This will take awhile to process.

Prayers to Joe’s family during this tragic time.

You will be deeply missed Joe. I love you brother.

We were challenged in small group tonight on how we can help others learn more about Jesus. No better platform to declare my love for Jesus than going public on social media.

If not now, When?

Long story short. My wife and I recommitted our lives to church the first of the year. Jesus saved our marriage.

I am very far from a sinless man. In fact , I’ve committed just about every sin out there. There are days I still struggle with sin.

I’ve also found that the closer I’ve gotten to God , the more bumps in the road the devil has put in my way.

I am no longer lost. There is a more clear vision and it doesn’t end in this life.

I pray often that God grant me the strength to endure any struggle that comes this way and to be a better person after the fact.
