Last night marked the end of an era. We said goodnight to Birdie knowing she wouldn't make it until morning. My first jumping spider lived a very long and full life of around 3 healthy and happy years. She is the mother to all of the babies I've sold and she is the reason I fell in love with these curious little creatures. I will forever miss my Birdie and her memory will live on in my heart. I will cherish all the memories and photos I have of my sweet girl. She never bit me and was never naughty. Some people may think she was just a spider but honestly she represented my love for all creatures big and small. Her willingness to love me led me to respect all spiders and all small creatures. I knew this day was coming but it still hit hard to see her in her final elderly moments. She had many babies and was a great mother. ❤️😭 Goodbye my first spider love
