This lovely, distinguished girl is in need of a home after the loss of her person. Carly is a 12-yr old yellow lab mix with a mammary tumor, cataracts, infected teeth and a small abscess by her eye who really needs someone to let her live the rest of her days in love and comfort. She came in with a senior dachshund and every one wants that dog but no one has been interested in Carly. She's laid back and easy to walk on leash, when she barks it's while laying down and does so with her whole head and neck which is so cute. Neighbors of the owner have filled the shelter's FB comments stating how much they miss having her in the neighborhood so it's obvious she's been lovable.

If able to help Carly please contact:

After nearly 15 years of serving the seniors of Central Ohio, Hospets will be entering a new chapter.

What began as a small act of compassion grew into a mission that has helped thousands of senior citizens keep and care for the pets they love. Through pet food deliveries, the Kindness Project, Santa Paws, emergency assistance, and countless quiet acts of support, we have witnessed the powerful bond between seniors and their animals — and the dignity that comes from helping them stay together.

This decision has not been made lightly. Due to rising costs and changing life circumstances, Hospets will be relocating out of state and restructuring our efforts during this transition.

Over the coming months, we will continue to honor commitments we have made to the seniors we have been assisting, and we will honor the commitment made to each animal that we have placed for adoption. Ensuring that pets are cared for responsibly and that our seniors remain supported remains our highest priority during this period of change.

Once we are settled and properly established in our new location, we fully intend to reopen and continue serving seniors and their pets.

To our volunteers, donors, and supporters: you are the heart of Hospets. Every bag of food, every dollar given, and every hour served has mattered more than you know.

Though our location may change, our mission remains the same:
Helping seniors and their pets stay together with dignity and compassion.

With deep gratitude,
Hospets

UPDATE - The caretaker just informed me that they have found an adoptive home for Biscuit

Courtesy Post - Columbus OH - Biscuit is a 13-year-old, spayed, female 24 lb Terrier mix. She is current on her rabies shot. She is housebroken, likes to walk on a leash, and also does not mind her crate too much. She can do steps, but limiting it to 2 or 3 is preferred. Her mom is moving into senior living and needs a new home immediately. For more information please email [email protected] and we will get you in touch with the caretaker
