On this holiday weekend, we are thinking of all the families in our community and wishing them time to rest and enjoy the people around them.

Independence Day is a wonderful reminder of what community and connection can look like when people come together.

From all of us at Austin's Hope, we hope your Fourth of July is filled with backyard fun, big smiles, and great memories.

Wishing you a safe and happy holiday!

At the Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy Conference, a group of siblings spent the day with several boys living with Duchenne at Hollywood Studios. One of those siblings also has a brother with Duchenne and quietly helped Austin get in and out of the rides so he could be part of every moment.

Moments like these remind us that some of the greatest acts of kindness happen without being asked.

Just a friend helping a friend.

We are grateful to be spending the next few days with our Duchenne family at the Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy 2026 Annual Conference.

This conference brings together families, advocates, researchers, clinicians, and industry leaders who are all working toward the same goal: improving the lives of those affected by Duchenne muscular dystrophy and advancing the path toward a cure.

Opportunities like this remind us of the strength of this community and the importance of coming together to learn, connect, and support one another. We are thankful to be part of a community that continues to inspire hope, foster meaningful connections, and move the Duchenne community forward.
