Ragdoll kittens first car ride! 🥳🚙🗺️

This little one did not want to be secured in a cat carrier for this ride. I do recommend for the safety of our kittens that they are secured in a carrier for car rides… however, in this situation the benefits of a lap snuggle outweighed the risks.

I ran out of toys midway through the journey. Had to get creative. Little kitten likes reggaeton. Was fascinated by the windshield wipers and passing cars. Not a fan of some of the bumps and rumble strips - but neither are we.

He played well into the 3rd hour of the drive, then we both fell asleep …

Kittens, ESPECIALLY Ragdoll kittens can read and feel human energy. By us staying calm, and playing with him in this situation kept him calm as well.

When my body naturally began to relax into pre-sleep mode, he began nesting into the blanket and cocooning himself into his resting place, that’s when we both fell asleep. My body and energy qued him that it was okay to relax.

Ragdoll kittens are super responsive to their owner’s energy!

Side note:

My first time transporting one of my kittens by car
(4 hours one way). Normally, my eldest son is our driving and flying courier, but this time I got the honors!
