One of my favorite parts of being a bridal makeup artist is that it isn’t about telling a bride what she can or can’t do—it’s about working together to create a look that feels like her.

My bride found a lipstick she absolutely loved, and honestly? I understood why. The color was beautiful. The only issue was that it was pulling all the attention to her lips instead of allowing the entire look to shine together.

So we met in the middle.

I incorporated the lip product she loved and adjusted it so it complemented the overall vision instead of competing with it.

Collaboration > control, every time.

The goal wasn’t to change her lipstick… it was to make it work 🤍
