Behind Little Black Logo is Jordan, a single mom with a passion for both creativity, community and agriculture. When she is not designing, she is often working with livestock, spending time outdoors and raising her son with strong roots in hard work and community. Her love for animals, farm life, and small-town values naturally shape her approach to business: Grounded, Genuine and Built on real connections and community.

Happy National Best Friends Day to the friends who have cheered from the sidelines, shared posts when it felt like no one was watching, referred my business to their friends, liked every launch, tested every crazy idea and reminded me to keep going when I felt like giving up.

Small businesses aren't built alone. They are built on coffee dates, long voice notes, "take a look and let me know what you think" texts with honest feedback, and friends who believe in your dream even before it became a reality.

Seven years ago, I started a business with a logo, a laptop, and a whole lot of determination.

If I could go back and tell that version of myself three things, it would be this:

✨ It’s okay to change.
Your business will evolve because YOU will evolve. What worked in year one might not work in year seven, and that’s not failure—it’s growth.

✨ Consistency matters.
Not perfection. Not going viral. Just showing up, over and over again. The businesses people remember are the ones they continue to see.

✨ Pay yourself.
Treat your business like a business from day one. Separate your finances, create systems, and remember that building a business should support your life, not consume it.

The truth is, there is no perfect roadmap to entrepreneurship. You’ll learn, pivot, make mistakes, celebrate wins, and figure things out along the way…and if you’re in a season of uncertainty right now, keep going. The version of you seven years from now will be so thankful you did!
