Thank you to everyone who has sent letters, gift packages, and even the anonymous donor from 2 days ago. Words can’t say enough about the random acts of kindness from people I never expected anything from and even strangers that we simply drawn to Elijah’s smile. ❤️

This trip has been a huge lesson on what we are meant to do on Earth, in the name of Jesus- not only to spread love and kindness (Elijah’s got that down pat-he doesn’t stop going up to strangers to make a friend, pass out his artwork, or throw them a love symbol in the air and even a kiss ; ). But it’s more more than that-I’m realizing Jesus really truly wants us to help each other. Lend a hand to those in need, those struggling, those who most have forgotten about. I am realizing how important it is to give and be less self-serving.
There were so many times Elijah stopped adults to act out his favorite show and the people stopped what they were doing and gave their time and attention. That alone spreads happiness! It makes his day when you give him your undivided attention. No money or thing needed to give. :)

In todays world-where we are taught “you do you” and whatever “feels” right, I think we have forgotten the importance of selflessness-and truly putting others before yourself.

God even put in our lives an amazing family-the kind you strive to be like-God fearing people that really know what it means to live without in order to serve others. And would you believe they live in Ohio? God does really does work wonders ❤️ ⭐️

Thank you again to those who took a few minutes to send Eli notes, and the like, you know who you are ❤️ .I can’t wait to get home to delve deeper into the meaningful relationships and begin to give back to the universe ;)

Elijah has proved to be a complex case. All tests and PET scan show that our living arrangements while being stationed in Utah really effected Elijah’s health. He is high in petrochemicals, very high specifically DDT, which we think is linked to him repeatedly drinking from our sump pump water that looked like a faucet pumping out into the street. And was green. :/ he was 3 and thought it was hilarious.

Our neighborhood was one with bright green lawns and everyone routinely sprayed (except us). Our lot was lowest in neighborhood and everyone’s yard drained into ours. Making for the need of 2 sump pumps and a basement prone to floods and yes, mold. 😞

Elijah is high in multiple molds, the worst black mold stachybotris, and those were also found int the basement when we had it tested in 2015.
He then was bit by an insect (unknown), making him faint that same year, ending is up in the ER. We assume this is when he contracted the Lyme disease but it’s anyones guess when that was contracted. He’s been by by tics in the past as well but Lyme and coinfections is now known to be contracted through other insects as well 😳

So, here we are with multiple serious infections, all combined to be the cause of seizures. The doctor does call the black mold Elijahs “big daddy”. It suppresses the immune system in such a way that it can’t fight off all the other things his body was put up against.

Every day is different here during treatment . Some amazing days have happened with no brain fog, high energy, no seizures, etc.
but he also has had really difficult days with 5-6 grand mals during daytime, making him bedridden.

The doctor is tweaking treatment as we go to find the right balance for him.
We are concerned with the long road ahead since Elijah is so complex and there is a lot to work through to clean him up.

There are so many things off in Elijah’s body due to brain infection. One being, his growth hormone. He is at 100 and doc says he should be more at 460! He wants to do hormone therapy (exosomes) and that’s a hurdle we have to research and weigh benefit vs. risk. I’m learning a lot about where these human hormones are extracted from 🙃🧐😞 and it’s a bit hard to swallow.

I’m addition to all of this, the PET scan shows head injury and death of brain cells. From presumably multiple drop seizures where his head took the hit, and also possibly from a fall when he was 3 and he lost consciousness for about 1 min. The exosomes would drastically help heal the brain.

3 was a hard age for Elijah!!

Doc says our goal is to see drastic improvement in 3 weeks and if we don’t, then it will be a long road to recovery and we need to make decisions on if we want to continue in Florida.
