March is Women's History Month—a time to honor the trailblazers who paved the way for progress. At Develop & Empower Consulting, we are proud to be a woman-owned and women-centered business dedicated to ensuring all women have equal opportunities in the political arena. Without the courage and determination of leaders like Shirley Chisholm and Fannie Lou Hamer, we wouldn’t be where we are today. Their legacy inspires us to continue breaking barriers and creating pathways for future generations.

2024 has been a year of growth, collaboration, and impact for Develop & Empower Consulting! This year, we were proud to participate in three discussions on civic engagement and advocacy during Voter Education Week. Earlier this year we facilitated a workshop for young girls through MAWOCC's Intergenerational Leadership Academy, organized and participated in a panel discussion on DEI with the League of Women Voters of Massachusetts, and were invited to speak at the Young Dems of America conference on agriculture and environmental justice. We also covered election night in the City of Brockton, ensuring civic engagement remained at the forefront.

It’s been a busy and rewarding year educating, speaking, and facilitating alongside community partners, municipalities, and elected officials. 2025 is already shaping up to be another exciting year of impactful work.

As we step into the new year, let’s continue pushing boundaries, seeking opportunities, and working together to create lasting change.

It was an incredible week participating in National Voter Education Week, engaging with community members and leaders on the importance of voting. On Monday, I had the honor of speaking at the Brockton Area NAACP's event. Wednesday brought another great opportunity at Bridgewater State University hosted by my Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., followed by Thursday's event with the Psi Iota Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. It was a privilege to share the stage with political experts I’ve had the honor of working with for many years. The conversations were impactful, and I’m grateful for the chance to contribute to these important discussions. Now get out and vote on November 5th!- Signed a very tired panelist 😅
