Carnations, a species of Dianthus, are January's birth flower. There are so many colors besides red and pink.

I will be starting seed for a few varieties of Chabaud dianthus very soon.

Although these came from my local grocery and are most likely imported from a hothouse in Ecuador, they make a pretty bouquet along with some white stock and boxwood and ivy foraged from my yard.

I will be at the .popup tomorrow from 1pm to 4pm. Stop buy for some fresh locally grown hand-tied bouquets!
