Squatted with the barbell for the first time since late July 2025 due to wrist issues. Felt great to go back to one of my favorite traditional lifts! 95lbs for 10 reps but I’ll take that as a win 🥇
Lifting is a privilege that I celebrate often by getting in the gym and doing the grind.

While visiting a gym away from home and I see a leg press; it makes my day! 🦵🏻
It is even more endorphin boosting than ever because I am still in recovery mode due to a recent wrist surgery. I don’t have to use my hands for this tried and true machine. 🙌🏻

Have you ever heard of De Quervain’s tenosynovitis? Me neither until I had it.
It is a painful inflammation of tendons on the thumb side of the wrist, commonly caused by overuse. Some people recover without surgery. Unfortunately mine wouldn’t go away on its own. I opted for surgery. I am now two weeks post op and am feeling great!
I did have to stop using weights for a few weeks so I changed up my workouts to cardio, abdominal work and lower body plyometrics.
I miss lifting but know to trust the process of recovery so I can get back at it.
