Water Safety Takes a Village—And the Right Tools Matter 🛟👙

Not all swimsuits are created equal. This National Water Safety Month, we’re spotlighting a favorite resource: the swimsuit color visibility chart. In both pools and natural water, some colors disappear fast—making it harder to spot a child (or anyone!) in an emergency. Bright, high-contrast colors can make all the difference.

Water safety is all about layers—and smart choices like this one save lives.

Making Waves for a Safer Future 🌊🛟

As part of National Water Safety Month, I had the opportunity to volunteer my time and expertise to train new lifeguard instructors — and I’m still feeling inspired by the experience.

At LodePeak Strategic Partners, we’re deeply committed to equipping leaders with the tools they need to create safer environments for kids and families. Training instructors who will go on to teach others lifesaving skills is one of the most impactful ways we can support that mission.

Swimming under the watch of a lifeguard is important—but it’s not enough. Parents and caregivers are the first line of defense. Active supervision, even when lifeguards are present, is essential to keeping children safe in and around water. 💙

Every instructor trained means more confident guards, safer programs, and more lives protected. We’re proud to support organizations through prevention, education, and leadership—one ripple at a time.

🎯 Busy days fueled by passion!

We’ve been hard at work today — reaching out for auction and raffle item donations for one of our favorite causes, ! This passion project means the world to us, and we’re excited to help make it something truly special. 💛⛳️💜

In between visits to local businesses, we also spent time scouting the perfect locations for an upcoming photoshoot. From lighting to backdrops, we’re making sure every detail is on point to bring our client’s vision to life. 📸✨

There’s nothing better than doing what we love while supporting causes close to our hearts!

Keeping kids safe around water starts with simple steps. Here are 5 swim safety tips every parent and caregiver should know:
1. Always watch kids near water—no distractions.
2. Enroll children in swim lessons early.
3. Use U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets.
4. Keep pools fenced and gates locked.
5. Learn CPR.
Safety isn’t seasonal—it’s essential. If your organization needs help evaluating or improving your risk management practices, we are here to help.

Water Safety Tip #1: Teach kids to ALWAYS ask permission before entering water—any water.

Whether it’s a pool, hot tub, lake, or even the bathtub, children should never enter without an adult’s OK. This habit builds safety awareness and gives caregivers a chance to assess the environment.

For little ones who aren’t verbal yet, teach a simple hand signal or cue—like tapping your hand or giving a high five—so they learn early that water play always begins with permission.

This one habit can save lives. Start young. Stay consistent.
