Just wanted to hop on here and say that we have been taking a little break with Pierce while he’s recuperating from being sick and not out of the woods just yet but he’s getting there. While I have been tending to him, we took a little break from the sessions however Our sessions are continuing on the other two horses in the program We are excited ans looking forward to Brae returning from wedding, honeymoon and vacation break and getting back with the students. Summer looks a little different here but we will push on through.

Sessions look a little different for Jake this summer as Pierce is still under the weather. So we started our session with horsemanship and learning how to lunge a horse. He’s learning how with Janie. Once the session was over we got to spend some quality time with Pierce while he fed him and groomed him and got him looking all shiny on this beautiful sunny day. We are thankful it is not raining. These two are two peas in a pod for sure.!

Happy Wednesday! I wanted to take a minute and focus on our student Luca. Luca has been our longest student in the program and started in October 2024. With the exception of changing facilities, weather related, or just life activities, for the most part, he has consistently come every single week since then.
Luca is a nonverbal Trio syndrome teenager. Brae has been his instructor for this past year. Recently, she had felt some frustration and feeling defeated that there wasn’t any improvement and pretty stagnant with his sessions. However, I received a call and with the permission of Luca‘s mom able to post the story, that was just what Brae needed going into her wedding so when she comes back from her honeymoon, she’s ready to get back at it with Luca and keep the momentum going.

Luca’s mom advised me last week that at his most recent orthopedic appointment, the doctor reviewed his scans and said that his scoliosis was starting to correct itself and that his limbs were starting to lengthen and correct themselves as well. The orthopedic doctor credited the equine assisted therapy as the reason for these improvements. While Luca is in another program as well, our two programs have different approaches, but at the end of the day, these results speak for themselves.

Whether you have autism, down syndrome, or any other form of special needs, what Brae and I do with Limitless speaks for itself, and we are also building confidence with our special needs students. We love hearing these success stories. !

We cater our sessions based on the students needs, and stretching at the beginning of our session is such a huge part of it and building core and strengthening muscles. Come check us out.

Since Brae is on her honeymoon, I had Trey’s lesson today. We are working with him on getting on from the ground as our goal is to go on a trail ride. We did lots of stretching beforehand and different movements in the mounting of a horse. He was successful and we forgot to video it so at the end of the session we did it. Wasn’t as pretty as the other ones, but the goal was that he was able to do it and previously was struggling. Very proud of his progression. AW Trey Ward way to go!

Jake has really worked on his directions and turning circles this week. Love seeing how confident he become.
