No rest for the weary artist…or art show goer…please consider yourself invited to the opening reception of Slowhand at Worthington Yards in Downtown Cleveland! Curated by the never-resting art mover and shaker, Liz Maugans, Slowhand is an invitational group show all about the careful, slow, studied and introspective process of creating art…and appreciating it!
And, if you were ever curious as to whether there are cool places to live in downtown Cleveland…here's your chance to take a look at the Coolest of them all! Worthington Yards is a gem of an apartment complex where its all about the amazing art in the halls and rotating art shows in the elegant industrial loft-style lobby…its like living in a museum…a very cool one.

When the Mayfield Cemetery board asked me to create a piece for Pat Corrigan who was retiring after 50 years of being the caretaker, I knew I wanted create something special but wasn't sure how to even begin to put my arms around what to do. Thanks to the guidance of Eric Silver who had a vision of what he wanted to include, I was able to come up with this. Tonight was his official zoom celebration on a job well done and a retirement well deserved. Congratulations Pat! Can't wait to see what you do with all your photography skills! If you look closely in the flowers there are circles showing the map of the cemetery. Flowers fill each circle. The border is from the handles of the Mausoleum doors. Mayfield Cemetery's gate now has a plaque in honor of Pats service and dedication. Thanks to Steve Hacker, here's a little video from sketch to finish.

I am so excited to share my latest commission that arrived at its home in Florida this week! Representing this couples travels, I was able to show how shape can be defined without color. I love the white on white on white! A definite new direction for me. Happy Friday!
