💚 Team Riley Update 6/13/26 💚

Today was an off-the-hook crazy rescue day. It started off with Riley's 1st post-hospitalization check up. He lost a little bit of weight and we aren't thrilled with his red blood cell count. But Riley's glucose and vitals were good. We are repeating bloodwork on Monday so 🤞we don't head into another transfusion. Riley got the green light to ditch his cone and to get his food intake increased now that his GI is stable, so he is thrilled about that! He gobbled up all the food. And we are hopeful that Monday's bloodwork will improve.

We ordered more canned I/D wet food that he's on. We've raised only about half of expenses incurred to date for the little man, so we appreciate your shares and love!

Thank you to all the volunteers who have helped Riley get to and from his medical providers - Anita, who rushed Riley to the emergency vet his first day which was huge in stabilizing him, Rich who picked Riley up at release, and Renee who has been Riley's 24/7 caregiver. It takes a village!

💚 6.9.26 Team Riley Update 💚

Riley has been dubbed a baby seal since he loves to make noises that emulate his favorite semi aquatic mammal.

Today he had his first few minutes of sunshine. Foster mom Renee feeds him every 2 hours and he's gobbling up every bit of his allowed portion.

Riley is still very rough looking but change takes time. Look how tiny Riley is!

Thank you for continuing to support this little man's journey!
