For the last year or so, “fish the door” has become a common thing to say in our house. With two cats who want in and out of rooms and four people who want privacy, this silly little plastic fish is the answer!

This was posted jokingly, but I actually like this idea. When you buy a regular household item in bulk, get one with a different scent that’s your visual (and olfactory) indicator that you need to restock. Simpler than a full-on inventory and it’s the sort of reminder that resonates with those of us with ADHD.
