This Earth Day, let’s honor our planet with action, not just intention. Ohio’s Shrink Wrap Recycling Program is a powerful reminder that even the biggest single-use plastics—like the shrink wrap used to protect our boats—can be kept out of landfills and waterways when we choose to recycle responsibly. Since 2006, over 2.3 million pounds of shrink wrap have been diverted, protecting our rivers, lakes, and marine life from harmful plastic waste. Every piece recycled is a step toward cleaner water, healthier ecosystems, and a better future. Let’s remove the strap, recycle the wrap, and do our part to keep Ohio—and our Earth—beautiful.
