I am looking for a fluent Spanish speaker to help me with a documentary. Currently working on a project to shoot a doc in Chile and Argentina next year. I speak conversational Spanish but I would like someone who is a native speaker or at least fluent to interview subjects. Knowledge of videography helps too but I'd be happy to teach you. If interested, shoot me a message and we'll talk.

Resposting the video I made last year from the 5 day 5 night Salkantay Trek to Machu Pichu. At 15,522 feet, this was the highest elevation I have yet hiked and the altitude effects were no joke!

I spent months preparing photography and videography gear to come with me over the mountain pass and into the Amazon jungle. I have done a fair bit of backpacking in my life but found myself getting out of it as I got more into photography and wanted to take more of my gear with me.

This trip however, was a bit different. We had porters carry a lot of our gear so that we could hike more freely. So I decided to put a lot of my essentials in a bag for my porter and then take all my photography and videography gear with me on the hike. Our tour guide said he had never seen anyone do that before. I may at some point do a whole video on how I managed my gear for this trip because it was quite the challenge.

For this video I used my drone, timelapses off my R5C camera, and my iPhone 16 Pro Max which has the ability to shoot in 4k Pro Res Log. Although not always as good as the full cinematic cameras I have, I was still pleasantly surprised at how well it did. I had the phone slightly rigged up with a variable ND filter and SSD for storing the large Pro Res files. Prepping the right battery charging gear for all of my equipment was also a difficult. Expecially because most of the campsites had little to no power.

Overall happy with the way this video turned out. I didn't have much of a plan when I shot all this. I had thought about storyboarding before going on the hike but I didn't want that to take me out of the experience. I was really glad I did that because the people I hiked with were incredible. So I overall enjoyed myself and didn't stress out too much about getting certain shots.

This video was the best narrative I could string together with all of the randomness that I captured. Hope you enjoy.

The past few weeks I've been putting more effort into gaining followers here and I'm happy to see it paying off! My following is still pretty modest but I'm grateful. As a small token of appreciation, I'm going to repost some of my travel videos from Latin America this week. Most of these are videos I've already posted but I dug up some media I haven't yet published. Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy 🙂
