Any processor can approve a D2C merchant when volume is flat.
The question is what they do when it gets complicated.
Subscription renewals. Seasonal billing cycles. Card-not-present volume climbing. Customers disputing charges they forgot about. That's when you find out whether your processor actually understood your business model when they approved you.
