You can catch his first set when doors open as he warms up the room for our competitors, plus an additional encore set following our last competitor as well tally up all the voting. ♣️

Caity Miller, better known by her stage name, Cooki3, is a bass house DJ based in Cincinnati, OH with over 10 years of experience behind the decks and over 5 years creating her own productions. During this time she has become known for her quick transitions and high energy selections that always keep the dance floor moving. With past performances at major festivals such as EDSea and Bonnaroo, Cooki3 is stepping back up the plate to deliver her signature sound as part of SOUNDCHECK Rd. 2! 🍪

🛂 With just 1 week to go, make sure you plan to come out early when doors open and get ahold of your Official Voting Passport so you can vote for Cooki3 as the ‘Best Set of the Night’!

As many of you know, at GRA we strive to help build up and strengthen our local community through our support of local charities who are making an impact. For this event, we’ve decided to organize a Non Perishable Food Drive to help support our friends over at CAINCincy ! If you are unfamiliar, CAIN, is a local food bank and nonprofit in Northside that has been supporting our local community by fighting poverty, advancing food sovereignty, and empowering community though mutual support and collective action since 1992. CAIN helps to support over 800 families monthly through their various services. ⛑️

We thank you in advance for your help in supporting this admirable organization by bringing any Non Perishable food items that you would like to donate. To help guide you, here is a note from CAIN about what items are accepted:

“We accept food donations so long as it is clean, unopened, within date, and has been held in safe food handling temperatures. We also accept non-food items like hygiene products, paper products, baby diapers, pads, tampons and incontinence products. We do not accept fabric items such as clothes.”

As we approach Round 2 of our newest ‘Battle of the DJs’ style event, SOUNDCHECK, we thought it would be nice to take a moment and briefly revisit the fundamental core nature of DJ culture, aka ‘The Art of DJing’.

“DJing is the art of selecting, mixing, and manipulating music to create a continuous, dynamic audio experience for an audience. At its core, DJing is about reading the crowd and curating a flow of energy using beats, transitions, and effects to guide listeners on a musical journey.

DJs use equipment like turntables, controllers, mixers, and software to blend tracks seamlessly, matching tempos, adjusting EQs, and layering sounds to maintain momentum and vibe. The best selectors aren’t just technically skilled, they understand mood, genre, and timing, often improvising in real-time to respond to the room.

Beyond the technical side, DJing is also a form of expression and storytelling. Whether spinning vinyl or using digital tools, DJs draw from a wide palette of sounds to craft a unique atmosphere, bridging gaps between different cultures, eras, and emotions. In clubs, festivals, radio shows, or underground scenes, DJs play a crucial role in shaping musical trends and creating shared experiences, turning passive listening into an immersive event.”

Announcing your Host for SOUNDCHECK Rd. 2: MC Sus 🎤

Making his second appearance as the host for our SOUNDCHECK event series, MC Sus will be helping to guide you through the evening as each of our guests is invited to evaluate and vote for the best DJ set of the night! 🗳️

Be sure to show up BEFORE the first DJ performs to acquire your Official Voting Passport and make your vote count as part of the Crowd Vote for the best set of the night. Passports will be available at the judging booth. ♣️

Hello once again and welcome back for Episode 03 in our 2026 monthly mix series, GRA.Selects. For our third episode, we have a special mix of selections provided by GRA resident DJ & founding member, Alejo. Topping out at exactly 40 minutes, this mix criss-crosses genre boundaries painting a picture full of lush melodies, brutalistic basslines and sentimental emotions. Be sure to strap in for this one as Alejo takes us on a journey through some of his biggest influences and favorite artists!

A note from the curator:
“This mix was originally performed on 5/10/25 in the IMAX Theater at COSI Columbus with visual accompaniment by the legend, Aimbot, and was intended to be a ‘one-time-only’ performance. As I pondered how to actualize the GRA.Selects concept, I couldn’t help but be drawn back to these selections as they truly embody some of my major influences and long-time favorite artists. Although this is just the first 40 minutes of the performance, I am honored to be able to share it once again.”
