7 Summits Cincy
25/10/2015
Sorry about the radio silence. I've been on a worldwide media tour ever since becoming a part of the exclusive Seven Summits Club. The good people of Djibouti even presented me with the Tgunfig Award, pictured here (which is part Nobel, part Pulitzer and part 2K participation certificate).
This posts marks the end of The Seven Summits Challenge. So PLEASE -- if you haven't yet -- stop right now and make a donation to Keep Cincinnati Beautiful. Text "seven" to 50155 or visit: http://bit.ly/1WcHZJ5 Our city is a better place because of them.
Thanks for following along, and all the best with your adventures. Onward & Upward!

The movie and book offers to chronicle my triumphant adventure our pouring in. One publisher even went so far as to suggest a title and cover art. The cover pic captures me on my last push up Mt. Echo. As hard as it is to believe, it actually felt colder than -148 degrees. Parts of me have yet to thaw. (I won't say which parts.)

Victory! I bagged all seven, including Mt. Echo. The mountaineering history books are being rewritten as I post. Be a part of it by donating to Keep Cincinnati Beautiful, just text "seven" to 50155 or visit keepcincinnatibeautiful.org. Have fun and put a 7 in the total: $17, $47, $107, $257, $507, $777...you get it.

Mt. Adams in the bag! Had to contend with some crevasses. Thanks to Sherpas for placing ladders over them and then carrying me. Dealing with a tad of snow blindness.
