One of the best parts of ASCEND? The friendships.đź’ś

“What does being part of the Rett syndrome community mean to you?” 💜 We asked attendees at ASCEND to share their thoughts—and their responses are a beautiful reminder of the power of connection, resilience, and hope. We’d love to hear your answer in the comments.💜💜💜

IRSF is now accepting applications for the 2026 IRSF Rett Syndrome Bridge Awards.

At a time when federal research funding has contracted sharply, we cannot afford to lose promising Rett syndrome research already in motion.

This one-year funding opportunity is designed to help preserve high-impact work whose external funding has lapsed, been reduced, or is at imminent risk — protecting not only the research itself, but also the people, tools, data, and momentum needed to keep progress moving.

Full proposals are due August 14, 2026 at 8pm ET / 5pm PT. Letters of intent are not required.

Researchers can also review active FY26 CDMRP/PRMRP opportunities on the same page.
