GASC Network

The Network supports CVI organizations through training, technical assistance, and peer learning - strengthening internal systems so community-based work can thrive. Supported by the City of Chicago, Cook County Justice Advisory Council (JAC), Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority (ICJIA), and the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS).

This work is about building something that lasts. The Network is laying the groundwork to support CVI organizations now and into the future.

The Network is made possible through collaboration with our partners - the City of Chicago, Cook County Justice Advisory Council (JAC), Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority (ICJIA), and the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) - working together to strengthen community violence intervention capacity across Chicago.

Strong communities depend on strong organizations. Capacity building supports CVI organizations with tools and systems that help their work last.

The GASC Network is led by the Government Alliance for Safe Communities (GASC) and administered by anchor organization UCAN. Together, we support community-based organizations as they strengthen leadership, operations, and long-term sustainability.

Through tools, training, and shared learning, The Network partners with nonprofit and grassroots organizations to help them:
• Build stronger internal systems
• Navigate change and complex challenges
• Sustain and deepen their community impact
