Dunbar's number says that humans (and other primates) are able to hold relationships between groups of about 150 people. 150 is around where the human brain reaches its cognitive load.

In ancient Rome, the military divided up its soldiers into groups-- cohorts-- of 80 and 150 people.

Moreover, monkeys stay in groups of about 150. They maintain their relationships by social grooming. The monkeys groom each other by picking off knats and dirt of each other's fur and spend about 40% of their time doing so.

Social grooming among humans is said to function by gesture of human touch (such as handshakes), but also by language. Social groups are maintained by small talk and gossip, where humans mention each other to establish group cohesion. Allegedly, when communicating, humans spend about 40% of their time in social gossip.

People, fundamentally, have a desire to stay part of a group. Often, just acknowledging someone or saying their name is enough to make them feel like they're part of the group.

Creating groups for people is inherently valuable because it fulfills this innate desire.

Scaling Up Your Marketing

It happens often that you stumble upon a keyword or small niche where you're successful in getting conversions, but you're a bit confused on how to how to scale the advertisement. In Google Adwords, there's 40 or 50 different metrics, numbers, and ratios you can track, but really 2 or 3 really make any difference. Tracking the right numbers is key.
