Sam Polan for Congress
I’m out at Glenview Village Hall today - one of the early voting locations here in the 9th.
Tomorrow is the big day. The weather might turn rough, so if you can, come out early and get it done.
Voting is one of the most basic responsibilities we have as citizens. Show up, make your voice heard, and then we’ll see each other around the neighborhood Tuesday night.
Families in the Ninth shouldn’t have to do crisis math at the kitchen table every month.
But that’s where we are.
Prices up. Starter homes out of reach. Washington arguing while families absorb the cost.
Here’s where I stand.
Tariffs that raise prices on working families? Repeal them. Congress controls trade, not the executive.
Housing locked behind years of red tape? Cut it. Build starter homes again, not just luxury units.
Private equity buying entire neighborhoods? Stop it. Homes should build equity for families, not portfolios.
And accountability matters. One set of rules. Rule of law. No exceptions.
I’m Sam Polan. The only veteran in this race. Not a career politician.
Less noise. More discipline.
Follow along. We’re getting to work.

Thank you to ETHS and EYAC for hosting a candidate debate. I appreciated the opportunity to share my thoughts and positions. Great job to the students who put it all together!
The Pentagon teaches you something Washington has forgotten.
Soundbites don’t stop crises. Strategy does.
When the stakes are real, there’s no performance - only discipline and decisions that bring people home.
It’s time Congress remembered the difference.

Honored to be endorsed by the Oromo Community Association in Chicago (OCAC). Looking forward to working with this great community.
The last administration had no real border policy.
This one has gone too far in the other direction.
America can secure the border without abandoning the Constitution.
Law enforcement shouldn’t operate behind masks.
Civil liberties aren’t optional.
We need security with humanity
$8B spent.
All 7 swing states lost.
And the response was… change nothing.
At some point you have to ask:
Did voters get it wrong or did the message?

Homeownership shouldn’t feel like winning the lottery.
Right now, some of the best first-time buyer programs exist… until the funding runs out.
