Indigenous artists recognized across the 2026 JUNO Award nominations.
Canada’s national music awards, the JUNO Awards, have announced their 2026 nominees. This year’s nominations include Indigenous artists across multiple genres, including Alternative, Roots, Rap, Blues, and Indigenous-specific categories.
Indigenous nominees across genres include:
• Aysanabee — Alternative Album of the Year
• William Prince — Contemporary Roots Album of the Year
• Snotty Nose Rez Kids (with SonReal) — Rap Single of the Year
• Crystal Shawanda — Blues Album of the Year
• Morgan Toney — Traditional Roots Album of the Year
Traditional Indigenous Artist or Group of the Year nominees:
• Bad Eagle
• Bear Creek
• Manitou Mkwa Singers
• Piunguałaq
• YB Nakota
Contemporary Indigenous Artist or Group of the Year nominees:
• Aysanabee
