Role transitions can be uncertain, as you merge parts of your former career identity together. I've been fortunate to find relative balance in continuing to utilize my expertise in health psychology across settings. Most recently, I had the opportunity to contribute to this piece about how workplaces can provide support to their employees who manage depression while managing a cancer diagnosis. Thank you to the Brand & Marketing team for the opportunity to share what I have learned over the years from professional and personal experience. Remember: we are all someone's patient, so be kind.

Made a career shift and been enjoying the toggle...but your colleagues will find you and tempt you into the academic realm lol. Always a good time catching up with colleagues. It took Damion Davis, PhD, LPC to get me "back outside" and doing the thing I love...public speaking...in-person! I thoroughly enjoyed his Counseling Diverse Communities course students. Until next time, Southern Methodist University. You made a great choice welcoming Dr. Davis to your faculty!
