I often think of my brief hours spent along the shores of Lake Crescent. Looking out across the still water and weathered pier, I felt transported back to childhood; to a time when the world moved slower and your inner child was free to wander and play. Stepping inside the homey lodge at Lake Crescent, with its restaurant, bar, and sunlit room overlooking the water, an image came to mind: a little boy holding a crescent-shaped fish. It felt symbolic of that quiet magic and playfulness in the air.
