CALLING MY HIGH POWERED WOMEN
My Women, this message is for you!
-
Over the last 30 plus years, I've led thousands of rooms and trained tens of thousands of leaders, executives and business professionals around the world on how to create the outcomes they truly want in every area of their personal and professional lives.
-
DEFINING YOUR NEXT ACT
One of my greatest joys is supporting highly accomplished women who, by all accounts, already "have it all" to boldly push through the fear and uncertainty of letting go of their current "identity," to identify and step into their "next act," in whatever ways are most authentic for them in this chapter of their lives.
-
I'M TESTING SOMETHING NEW
As part of my year long in-person Brilliant Woman Mastermind, I'm currently testing out the online delivery of one aspect of a foundational workshop rooted in principles I've been training women inside of from the front of the room for decades.
-
INTIMATE SMALL GROUP BREAKTHROUGH SESSIONS
The workshop is approximately 60 mins, and I want to deliver it a few times to get real-time feedback and make slight tweaks before I finalize it.
-
ONLY HOSTING A FEW SESSIONS
If you're interested in going through one of these intimate small group sessions with me, my promise is you will leave with powerful insights in key aspects of your life, AND clear pathways to take action on those insights right away.
-
I'm hosting a handful of these live breakthrough sessions over the next few weeks.
-
IT'S FREE, JUST GIVE ME YOUR FEEDBACK
They're free - the only fee is your promise to offer your unfiltered feedback, and a testimonial if you feel inclined.
-
Comment below or send a DM if it feels aligned. Cheers.

It’s not just about doing more!

As a coach working with my clients over the years a question I am often asked is ‘ what can I DO to be a better… leader manager entrepreneur?’

In my experience the most powerful pathway is to NOT-focus initially on what you are doing.

The key to progress isn’t just about doing more or working harder—it’s about delving into the core of who you are and what you’re bringing to the table.

It’s about embracing the “Be, Do, Have” paradigm.

Firstly, focusing on “Being” involves cultivating the right mindset and inner qualities. It’s about embodying the values, confidence, and authenticity that align with your goals. This might mean developing resilience, fostering a growth mindset, or practicing self-compassion.

Then there’s”Doing.” Once you’ve clarified who you’re being, you can take intentional action.

This action is purposeful , intentional and aligned with your values and aspirations. It’s about making strategic choices and executing them with determination and focus.

And Finally, “Having” is the outcomes and results you want.

By prioritizing who you’re being and what you’re doing, you set the stage for the things you want to manifest in your life—whether it’s career success, personal fulfillment, or meaningful relationships.

This the Be-Do-Have model is a reminder to all of us true transformation begins from within.

Working on ourselves—our beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors—we can unlock our full potential and create the life we envision.

If you want to move forward with something you are working on, don’t just focus on doing more; focus on who you’re BEING, because that’s where the real magic happens.

“Tell me,
what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” — Mary Oliver, The Summer Day

11 years ago we left the UK and moved to the US - I have lost count of the number of times someone has asked us why - [sidenote: it was not our work that brought us here].

My answer is an adventure - we had a great life in London and we could of kept doing what were were doing for the next 20 years or instead shake it up, go on an adventure and see where it takes us. Looking back it took a lot of courage for us to leave behind a life we had spent years building.

That moment in our life was answering this Mary Oliver question “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”

* When you look at your life right now - however good it is and where you’ve got to - is it where you want to be ?
* Are you having the experiences you want to have?
* Are you growing at the pace that you want to grow?
* And if you had no restrictions would you be living the life you are now?
* Are you in the career you want to be in?
* What if you brought the excitement of a child to ask the question of what is next for you, what would you answer?

We do not have to wait for something being wrong before we make a change we can do that at any time - in fact changing from a place of strength is a great way to make strides forward.

When I’m coaching my clients in a transition one of my questions is “ Are you moving toward something or moving away from something?”

Mary Oliver gently nudges us to contemplate the exquisite tapestry of our existence and the boundless potential that resides within each moment.

With every dawn, we are gifted a canvas upon which to paint the masterpiece of our lives. It’s a canvas woven with threads of dreams, aspirations, and the whisperings of our deepest desires.

So, dear friend, let us not squander this precious gift but instead embrace it with unwavering courage and unbridled passion.

Consider If you embrace the wild and precious adventure that is life, knowing that each step we take brings us closer to our most authentic selves. What is the step that you will take?

I CAME FROM A WOMAN

She was no ordinary woman - she was my Mother

She was born with little economic wealth in the carribbean, and rich in so many ways - she taught me about kindness, love, respect and holding a generous spirit. She gave so much and did not ask for enough

She was no ordinary woman - she was my Mother

She raised four amazing children and 7 grandchildren

She took courageous actions and created such a foundation for her children that gave us the confidence to take risks, branch out , be the first generation to go to college and to boldly move countries in pursuit of a dream.

She was no ordinary woman - she was my Mother

I am my mother’s daughter , artistic and creative, for hose of you who know me - my stylish flare is from my mother - in another dimension she would have been known as a fashion designer - that opportunity was not afforded to her .
She was no ordinary woman - she was my Mother

She is no longer with me having passed away in 2018 from brain cancer - she has embed in me a passion for life a commitment to live fully and to continue to make her proud. Without her there is no Shirley.

A strong and faithful woman who cared about people and always had her attention on making a difference to the people in her life.

She was no ordinary woman - she was my Mother

So I am honoring my Mother today on International Women’s Day - It is because of her that I am privileged to enjoy the hard fought freedom and the life of joy.

Maya Angelou once said, “To describe my mother would be to write about a hurricane in its perfect power.”

On the shoulders of our Mothers - we still rise together.

Let’s start with looking to our mothers, sisters, wives, aunties, friends & be inspired.

I see you all.

Happy International Women’s Day.
