We love that the Morton Arboretum has dates for ASL and shorter routes, to provide different experiences for our audiences. We had such a fun, interactive audience yesterday. And you can't beat the fall foliage there. I think we'll hit peak colors next weekend for closing. Only three shows left!!

Hey friends!! Submission tip of the day!
PLEASE send files with your first and last name and a SHORT, simple description. Example of ways to do this that are easy to edit if needed and will not make your casting director pull their hair out. :)

One of the actors for our Fall production just received an awesome opportunity, so we find ourselves in need of an immediate replacement. We are also hiring a Swing. Please see below for all info.
**Immediate casting for Fall Walking Play at The Morton Arboretum in Lisle, IL**
βTHE GRIMMEST OF TALESβ - Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm appear to tell their favorite fairy tales, only to be ensnared by a mysterious enchantress, who bewitches them into telling their most gruesome tales instead. Who she is and why she has appeared is revealed over the course of the telling, in hilarious, terrifying, bloody-fun fashion.
Breakdown: Actors comfortable in male presenting roles, mid-20s - 30s. Any ethnicity. Great with comedy, comfort with improv and memorization of heightened language a plus. One actor will play Wilhelm Grimm, the Swing will cover both brothers and help Walk Lead. The Swing will have some flexibility on rehearsals/shows they have to attend.
Run: Saturday and Sundays, at 4PM (3:15 call), at The Morton Arboretum in Lisle. September 28 β October 27.
Rehearsals: at The Arboretum in Lisle, Saturday and Sunday days (4 hour blocks, time flexible to cast availability), beginning August 31st, with two TBD weeknight evening rehearsals the week before opening.
Stipend: $500
Note: Shows and rehearsals take place outdoors and the show travels over a walking trail of approximately a mile and a half. Produced by Inkwell Productions: Lara Filip, Director/Playwright; Alyssa Frewen, Associate Director.
Please send pic/resume to [email protected]. If you have a comic monologue on tape, please include that, otherwise you will be sent sides for a self-tape.
Thanks!
Lara~

Hi Friends!
We're seeking a non-AEA Swing (for both Grimm Brothers) / Walk Leader for our Fall Walking Play, "The Grimmest of Tales". If anyone knows someone who might fit the bill, send them our way!
Seeking Grimm Bro types (actors playing the roles are age-range mid 20s-30s). Super great at dense/quick text, storytelling and comedy sensibilities.
It's weekend rehearsals and shows. Rehearsals are August 31 - Sept 28 (Saturdays 2-6 and Sundays 10-2). Shows are 4pm Sat/Sun Sept 28 - Oct 27.
$500 stipend.
