We’ve been made aware of casting calls circulating—mostly in Facebook groups—using misleading Gmail addresses such as [email protected] and [email protected]. These emails are not connected to Talus Films, but have caused confusion by appearing loosely affiliated.

In some cases, actors have been sent a link to our website as false “proof” of legitimacy. These castings have referenced cities such as North Carolina (NC), New York City (NYC), and Houston, though others may be involved.

Please Note:
- All official Talus Films casting communications come from .com email addresses only.

- We share casting calls directly through our website, social media, or verified casting platforms.

- We do not authorize any third party to represent us in casting at this time.

If you’ve received a suspicious message, email us at [email protected]. Other similar situations may arise. Stay cautious, and thank you for helping protect our creative community.

As Outspring was planning to host their first-ever Swell event in September 2023, they knew how important it would be to capture the event in its entirety through video and photo.

Outspring plans on continuing this event in future years and increasing its attendee, vendor, and sponsorships. To do this, they wanted to take the footage captured and create several different event highlight videos and teasers to help further Swell's reach in future years.

For this main highlight film, the idea was always present to capture multiple women's voices for the video on what it means to be outdoorsy.

More on the host of Swell, : “Outspring is a gathering place for women who love to get outside. Products, services, experiences, and stories for and by women. Connections that bring us closer to nature, ourselves, and each other.”

Swell is integrated into this statement on a molecular level, and as a women-owned business ourselves, it was really important to capture the weekend from a female perspective. We hired an all female team to capture Swell ‘23.

Co-founder (left) produced and directed the project, (middle) was the photographer, and (right) was the cinematographer.

The three worked together to capture the weekend and did an amazing job!
