It was a pleasure being on stage at the New York Build Expo speaking on the
Emerging Real Estate Trends to Watch NYC panel.
The conversation reinforced something that’s becoming increasingly clear: New York isn’t just stabilizing, it’s evolving. The city is redefining how space is used, how projects are delivered, and how workplace strategy supports talent, culture, and performance. From flight-to-quality leasing to the continued push for experience-driven environments, there’s real momentum across the market right now.
What stood out most was the alignment across the panel. Hearing perspectives from leaders at CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield, JLL, WeWork, and HKS, Inc. made it clear that occupiers are thinking differently. Speed, cost certainty, and accountability are no longer “nice to have”, they’re expected.
Excited to see where the NYC market continues to go from here. If this panel was any indication, the next chapter is going to be a strong one. Thanks for an incredible conversation Zack Davis, Paul Walker, Whitney Anderson, Peter Carillo, and Steven Soutendijk.
