SSDP at NU

Dear Northwestern and SSDP Family,

We noticed some recent traction on this page and wanted to update you all about the status of this group. The board graduated during the peak of COVID and the club has not convened or had leadership for about 2 years. The original board is very grateful for the important discussions we had and the space we created to support each other.

This post is an open call to any NU students (or graduate students) to feel free to restart this club if you're interested. Please DM this page and the previous board will be happy to advise you through how to reinstate the club, and transfer ownership of our socials/assets.
You won't be at it alone - SSDP is a global, student-led grassroots organization with a lot of resources and people willing to help you out.

And don't forget - the war on drugs is a war on us! Stay safe.

Northwestern students! Join us at our next meeting (Monday, 2/8 at 7pm) where we will break down traditional narratives surrounding addiction, and discuss how peer to peer support can be effective in identifying and addressing drug abuse/misuse.

Please join us this Friday at 3pm CST for our Winter Kickoff, where we will be playing the greatest ~Kahoot~ you've ever seen, starting our initiatives, discussing what we all want the club to do next, and establishing a consistent bi-weekly meeting time. DM us for the zoom link!
