As Chicagoans, it’s rare that we are privileged enough to be Fired Up about a Mayoral candidate, as we are for Brandon Johnson. We are used to Career Machine Politicians in this city, who use Racist tactics such as Red Lining, Property Taxes skyrocketing in Black & Brown communities, misusing Covid Relief Funds to line their own pockets, agreeing to an 80 year Expensive Parking Enforcement contract that forces us to pay to Visit Public Beaches, over policing in Black & Brown communities, & funneling majority of the Chicagos budget into the CPD. As a native Chicagoan, I know that we are sick of the 16 shots & cover ups, we are sick of Bridges being raised on our peaceful protests, so the Police can beat, arrest & torture us. We are Tired of the “Good Old Boy” Politics of yesterday. Today we have the chance to Create Real Affective Change in this City. We have the opportunity to elect Brandon Johnson for Mayor👏🏾👏🏾We have heard many elders in our communities say they haven’t been this excited for a mayoral Candidate since our 1st Black Mayor & Best Mayor of Chicago, The People’s Mayor Harold Washington. Brandon Johnson is focused on Treatment Not Trauma, which will not only create safe, healthy, & affordable access to Mental Health Treatment, but in a mental health crisis situation where one might call the police, instead their will be a Mental Health Professional who is the First Responder instead of the Police. Instead of investing Billions into the Police budget, he wants to invest that money into Black & Brown Communities. Brandon Johnson & his Family live in the Austin Neighborhood of Chicago. Austin area has been neglected by the city for decades. Labeled as one of the most violent areas of the city. Brandon understands traveling 14 miles to Kenwood Academy to ensure his son can study music because his neighborhood schools don’t have the funding for a music department. Brandon is one of Us. That’s why he is the perfect candidate I believe will honestly invest in our communities. Please Vote Brandon Johnson for Mayor🗳️🤎

Fannie Lou Hamer risked death everyday of her life. She fought for Black Folks right to legally Vote. She said, “Is this America, the land of the free and the home of the brave, where we…[are] threatened daily, because we want to live as decent human beings, in America?”
After her first attempt to vote in 1962 White Men pumped 16 shots into her house, barely missing her and everyone else inside.
