When Gilgamesh rejected Ishtar’s offer, he challenged the will of the gods.
In anger, Ishtar demanded vengeance from Anu, and the Bull of Heaven was unleashed upon Uruk.
Though the heroes prevailed, defying the gods carried a terrible price.

عندما رفض جلجامش عرض عشتار، تحدّى إرادة الآلهة.
غضبت عشتار وطالبت بالانتقام من آنو، فأُطلق ثور السماء على أوروك.
ورغم انتصار الأبطال، كان لتحدّي الآلهة ثمنٌ لا يُغتفر.
