I tackled all of the pulling of bolted and done for the season edibles, pruned the living heck out of the unruly ones, and deadheaded the others. I also hacked down an assload of stinkweed and pulled a ton of what I THINK is Oxalis but am not sure of. All I know is that it was trying to murder everything in our mushroom garden and I am not having that. I also planted some new herbs, beets, radish, and lettuces. Tomorrow is time to pot up the new annuals, sink the established perennials into the ground, and harvest things! You can't tell from the aerial view here but this yard was looking jungle-like.

Late post because I am a night owl always but back to herb life! Here is my latest haul (missing the bag of Tulsi I had to special order because they were put in shop) from my favorite herb shop here in Chicago. I got all of this right before we left for Ohio for the holidays and so I haven't done a full unboxing/refill. I was thinking of maybe doing some filming as I got through what I purchased and put it all away in my apothecary. Is that something that would interest folks? Let me know! I know video is where it's at these days but reels aren't long enough usually for this kind of thing. Should I make a Tik Tok and start doing content there? I don't know! That being said, this herb shop is roughly a mile from my home and is run by the nicest Polish lady ever. If you are in the Chicago area go visit Monk's Herb Center on Milwaukee in Jefferson Park for all your herb needs. If you AREN'T in the Chicago area go buy all your stuff on their website and have it shipped! They do mostly organic items, have reasonable prices and offer so much more than just loose herbs!

P.S. All those silver bags you see in the photos are bulk organic herbs from small farms and other reputable sources.

Will get back to my herb posting life after this but wanted to share that we took in this emergency foster over the weekend. He is seriously one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met and once he gets weight back on him, he will be magnificent. He will be up for adoption in a few weeks so if you are in the Chicago area and looking for a gorgeous Mastiff mix that is already fully potty trained, crate trained, and takes commands well?
