⚾ On Lou Gehrig Day, Major League Baseball honors the legacy of the Hall of Famer while raising awareness for ALS, the disease that now bears his name.
June 2 marks both the day Lou Gehrig became the Yankees' starting first baseman in 1925 and the day he passed away from ALS in 1941.
For Justin Upchurch and others living with ALS, Lou Gehrig Day is a reminder that every story matters, every voice counts, and the fight against ALS continues.
