I’m so excited to co-host this week’s THRIVE session with my brilliant brother, Dr. Todd Robinson, Chief Medical Director for WrightCare and founder of PreventiveMD.
He’ll be bringing his characteristic humor, down-to-earth approach, and deep expertise to discuss a popular topic - weight-loss drugs and how to use them the right way.
He’ll also be sharing how to create a realistic weight loss plan that goes beyond cutting carbs and hitting the gym. His patients LOVE him for this!

Yesterday, I ran the Memphis Marathon and learned a priceless lesson - run the race that’s before you and that one only.
This summer I spent 4 months training for the first All Women’s Marathon that took place in October in Savannah, GA. I have trained nearly every year since 2015 for a marathon but never ran it due to injuries or not having enough time to complete the training. This year I was determined but succumbed to injuries yet again. Dispondent, I decided to throw in the towel.
However, my sister decided to pay for and register me for another race, a 10K instead of a marathon. I wasn’t too excited about it because it was so far from my goal of running a marathon. She had to do EVERYTHING for me - buy my cold weather running gear, pick up my race credentials, and research the course. I traveled for work last week and got in late the night before the race. I got only 3 hours of sleep (a recipe for a bad run).
Despite being down on myself for missing the marathon, not being enthused about running a 10K, and it being miserably cold, I ran and had a personal record!
Moral of story. Run the race that’s before you. Not the race you missed, not the one you messed up on last time, not the one you hope to run next time. There’s a blessing in it if you endure to the end!
And it helps to have someone who will believe for you when you lose hope. Thanks Michelle! 😘
