Join us at Dorothy next Thursday, June 11th, for our fourth annual Q***r Elder History Panel! Snag your tickets before they sell out at the link in our bio!

Ge**er/Hart and the LGBTQ+ Intergenerational Dialogue Project are partnering to bring the younger and older generations together in dialogue about q***rness over time. Join us for a panel discussion with Betty Akins, Jay Myers, Jocye Fernandes, and Norma Seledon, four incredible LGBTQ+ elders, moderated by Dialogue Project co-founder Karen Morris and hosted by Ge**er/Hart volunteer Kaitlyn Griffith.

The panel will be accompanied by a pop-up display of materials from Ge**er/Hart's LGBTQ+ library & archives and followed by Q&A & mingling. Celebrate Pride in community with our elders at Dorothy!

Doors at 6pm, and our panel kicks off at 7pm. Dorothy remains open after the event until 11pm.

Tickets are priced on a sliding scale of $15, $20, and $25! Proceeds are shared with our panelists, the LGBTQ+ Intergenerational Dialogue Project, Dorothy, and Ge**er/Hart. If tickets are still available, they will be $25 at the door. But the last three years have sold out, so grab your tickets soon!

Dorothy is 21+ and requires a physical ID for all to enter. Dorothy is also ADA accessible with elevator access on Campbell Ave. If you are a guest who requires elevator access, please wait by the black door with our logo in the window and call our staff to assist: 773-770-3799

Don't miss the one-year anniversary of Q***r Stitch Night this month! Join fiber artist, educator, and researcher Isabel Sperry (she/her) for an evening of crafting on Wednesday, June 10th, from 6-8 PM at Ge**er/Hart!

Whether you are an experienced fiber artist or are looking to start your first project, you are welcome at this free community event! While Isabel isn’t an expert at every fiber art form out there, she is more than happy to provide some technical support and help to foster a community of crafters. Fiber arts not your thing? No worries! Bring a sketch book, a laptop to write on, or a novel to read and enjoy this community space.

Supplies are not provided, but we will have a limited number of collage materials, scissors, glue, markers, etc. available. Hope to see you on Wednesday, June 10th. We will be located at 6500 N. Clark St., on the second floor, across the hall from the elevator. See the library front desk if you have trouble finding us! ***rstitchnight
