Major changes coming to . My trip to Guatemala last week changed the trajectory of the brand. Here’s what will be changing in the coming months:
1. I’m moving manufacturing to Guatemala to support job creation and better align with my mission. My family is from Guatemala and this is a beautiful way to not only get closer to my roots but make a greater impact on women who are living in poverty and not getting paid a fair wage.
2. I will be incorporating beautiful fabrics that are handmade by indigenous weavers. I’ll be working with weavers to create custom designs and help create fair paying jobs for them. It takes HOURS to create fabric (thread by thread) and the indigenous weavers are paid Pennies for their work - I’m here to change that, pay them their worth, and incorporate their gorgeous designs in my clothes. 💕
3. I will be changing the name of the brand. Swap & Strut first started as a clothing rental company (hence the name) but launching a clothing rental business model during a pandemic proved to be the wrong method. I haven’t decided on a name yet but I want it to pay tribute to the inspiring women that have fought for a better life in Guatemala. Open to ideas if you have any.
4. When you purchase from the brand, 1% of every sale is donated to a non-profit organization that betters the lives of women. I will redirect this focus to supporting women in Guatemala that are living in harsh conditions. More to come on this!

Im looking forward to having you in this journey with me. These changes are overwhelming but it all feels right and I feel closer aligned to my mission and my roots. I can’t wait to show you the next collection! Stay tuned. 💕
